IFFI: International Film Festival of India | 49th Edition (COMING SOON)
Started way back in 1952, the first ever IFFI was organized by the Films Division, Government of India, with the patronage of the first Prime Minister of India – Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) aims at providing a common platform to the cinemas across the world to project the excellence of the art of film making. This India’s most prestigious festival is also the first International Film Festival held anywhere in Asia. The festival is conducted jointly by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Directorate of Film Festivals and the Government of Goa.
MAMI: Mumbai Film Festival | 19th Edition
In 1997, a group of film industry stalwarts headed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee founded the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image as a not for profit trust. The Mumbai Academy of the Moving Image (MAMI) is a public trust that organises the annual international film festival in Mumbai known as the Mumbai Film Festival, the main intention was to organise an annual international film festival of which the film industry and the country can be proud of. MAMI aims to foster a climate of good cinema.
IFFK: International Film Festival of Kerala | 22nd Edition
Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, a Kerala Government Institution to promote cinema conducts International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) every year. The Academy is an effort to counter the gross commoditisation of the film medium and a rightful recognition of the contribution of cinema to the cultural enlightenment of the society. It is guided by the motto that Cinema should contribute to the complete development of human being, both as an individual and as a social being.
